Protecting against scam calls
Scam calls are a real concern for older adults and families. Sarafimo is designed to be consistent and recognisable.
Sara will always call from the same number. We recommend saving that number as a contact on mobile phones, so it's familiar when it rings.
For landlines, families may want to consider blocking calls from unknown numbers where possible, and whitelisting approved contacts. Sara can be added to that whitelist.
What Sarafimo will never do
Sarafimo will never ask for money, bank details, passwords, or access codes. Sara will not try to sell anything during calls. Sarafimo does not provide medical advice or a diagnosis.
Designed for dignity
Sarafimo is designed to support independence and reduce stress. The service avoids language that feels like "checking up" and aims to be calm, respectful, and person-centred.
Sara speaks clearly, and never rushes the conversation.
When Sara is unsure
If Sara is unsure, Sarafimo escalates to a known contact rather than guessing. This is a core safety principle of the service.
